It is a micrometric wheel measuring machine which allows the measurement, step by step,
of the thickness of the hide, particularly for Wet Blue one and for the semifinished one.
The precision appreciated is about 5/100 mm.
We can apply various thickness meters on any type of stacker and on skin transport belt,
at the points chosen for verification. Ideal before or after splitting machine or shaving
machine.
A computerized system, with specific programmers, allows to signal any anomaly in
thickness and permits the automatic determination of the grade of skins by pre-defined
parameters.
Moreover it is possible to control a stacking system for leathers thickness by grade,
avoiding the use of labour.
